Our focus in the Kindergarten Meilenstein
Media education
Children today grow up with media as a matter of course. It's important to us that they learn to use it consciously and appropriately at an early age.
Through discussions, projects, and small exercises, we demonstrate how media can be used meaningfully.
- We always consider the children's age and developmental stage.
This way, children are gently introduced to the digital world – in a playful and child-friendly way.
Movement
Movement is a basic need for children – it supports physical, mental, and emotional growth.
Visits to the park and walks encourage movement in the fresh air.
- When the weather is bad, we provide fun and activity with exercise options in the group room.
Through exercise, children strengthen their self-confidence, their health, and their communication skills.
Our goal: Children grow into strong, self-confident individuals.
Creativity
Creativity makes children free, curious, and independent. They learn to actively shape their environment.
In small groups, we offer space for painting, crafting, building, and designing.
- Imaginative projects encourage independent thinking.
Children learn to consciously perceive nature and their environment.
This lays the foundation for lifelong enjoyment of creative expression.
Healthy Eating
Healthy eating is the foundation for development, energy, and well-being.
We cook fresh meals every day – with varied, child-friendly meals.
Children are encouraged to help: learning about food, cutting, stirring, and tasting.
Hygiene and proper table manners (e.g., washing hands, using cutlery) are taught through play.
- In addition to meat dishes, we also offer vegetarian alternatives.
- This helps children develop a sense of healthy eating from an early age.
Bilingualism and language support
Language is the key to the world. That's why it's a special focus for us.
German is taught daily through games, singing, crafts, dancing, and storytelling.
- In addition, the children experience a bilingual environment with English – playfully integrated into everyday life from the very beginning.
First outings (e.g., to the Children's Museum, the Technical Museum, or the library) expand vocabulary and experiences.
This optimally prepares children for starting school – with linguistic confidence and curiosity for new things.
Portfolio
Every child is unique – we want to make that visible.
We collect crafts, photos, short reports, and memories in a portfolio folder.
- Children can decide for themselves what goes in – and thus show their own strengths.
Educators support this process and document the developmental steps.
The portfolio strengthens self-confidence and makes learning progress visible to children and parents.
✨With these focuses, we want to strengthen, accompany, and support the children on their journey – so that they can reach their first milestones with joy.
